Waste Update Newsletters

The UKQAA produced updates on the ash as waste issue for a period. These have been discontinued. The UKQAA in conjunction with the WRAP and Environment Agency is working on a Quality Protocol, which should finally resolve the issues of the Waste Framework Directive. When complete, a revised Code of Practice for both fill and grouting will be published as will a Quality Protocol that defines when coal fired power station ash products cease to be 'wastes'. This will be partially completed by October 2010 when the Quality Protcol for Bound and Grouts will be launched.
