United Kingdom Quality Ash Association |
About the UKQAA
The UKQAA is a Trade Association the promotes the benefits of using coal fired power station products. The UKQAA was launched in July 1997 from the previous Quality Ash Association (QAA). There was a significant change of emphasis with the new association. The QAA only supported the use of classified PFA for use in concrete, whereas the UKQAA supports the use of PFA/fly ash for all applications, e.g. for concrete, fill, grouting, block manufacture, etc. Also furnace bottom ash and cenospheres are covered as per the various technical datasheets. In the last few years the range of the information has grown significantly
The associaiton is staffed by two people, Lindon Sear - Technical Director and Yvonne Cotterill - Marketing and Administration Officer. We have a small office in Wolverhampton city.
